Third Party Politicians
Since 3rd party politicians are routinely ignored by the controlled press in favor of democrats or republicans, a venue to promote their candidacy is vital at the grassroots level to begin to change the business as usual attitudes of the democratic and republican nominees. Herb Hoffman is a case in point!
Wally Edge -- Wrong again.
Wally, you say "If you are not on the ballot, you are not a candidate." This is absolutely incorrect. Please go to Chapter 1 of the 2008 Candidate Guide published by the Secretary of State. The third bullet under the title "Who is a Candidate?" states,"A person who has filed a declaration with the Secretary of State as a write-in candidate." I filed that Declaration with the Secretary of State on September 10, 2008.
I am a candidate and I offer an opportunity to the voters of Maine to cast an affirmative ballot based on their principles, values and integrity. This year the voters for U.S. Senate do not have to vote for the "least worse candidate."
Wally, please fact check before you write.
