Maine delegates to the Democratic National Convention

What a week!

Dana Kadey

The independent candidate for the State Senate decided to go on a shopping spree with taxpayer dollars (clean election funds) He got caught and now he gets to pay it back. Mr Kadey - politicians generally wait to steal money AFTER they get elected.

David Lemoine

The State’s Treasurer has struck a deal with Merrill Lynch, and recovered Maine’s original 20 million dollar investment in Mainsail II commercial paper. That investment had been in jeopardy.

Workers at the Katahdin Paper mill

More than 200 workers will be losing their jobs when the mill shuts down indefinitely in early September.

Kevin Mattson

A private developer and occasional political activist, Mattson is apparently in talks with the folks that run the trash plant located in the middle of downtown Biddeford. He wants to buy and shut it down. Good.

Manuel Aguilar

From Brunswick, sent threatening emails to members of Maine’s delegation at the Democratic National Convention.

Fake protestors

Democratic operatives pretending to be union workers protested the US Chamber bus tour. The protestors were largely kids from various campaign offices. The protest was in response to ads running in Maine that union members believe to be misleading and untruthful on the “card check” legislation.
