The Maine Prosperity PAC, which is affiliated with the Alliance for Maine's Future has filed an independent expenditure report in the State Senate Seat in Southern York County.
According to the report, the expenditure was made in opposition to Peter Bowman, which essentially means a negative piece is about to land in the mailboxes in Senate District 1. Mr. Bowman is being challenged by Mary Andrews who held that same seat in 2004, and did not seek reelection in 2006.
This race is considered to be one of the more competitive races in the State, and this initial expenditure is likely to be the first of many in that race. Mike Tipping, in his column, the Tipping Point has a good summary of the candidates in the Senate District 1 race.
