Earlier this morning, Chris Cillizza in his Washington Post column, the Fix broke the story that Senator Collins could be in trouble.
"Amid signs that the Senate playing field has badly eroded for GOPers in the past two weeks, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is preparing to launch ads in Maine -- a contest until recently regarded as a long-shot pickup for Democrats."
Mr. Cillizza reported that the National Republican Senatorial Committee bought $150,000 in the Portland media market. That part was true, but the ads were not for Senator Collins. A few hours later Cillizza updated his post noting,
"We were flat wrong
The NRSC did buy time on Friday in the Portland, Maine media market...
What we failed to realize (dumbly) is that the Portland, Maine media market also reaches into parts of New Hampshire where Sen. John Sununu (R) is fighting for his political life against former governor Jeanne Shaheen."
That's good news for Collins and more bad news for Sununu.

Senator Collins
Senator Collins has been a good senator for Maine, and her record far outshines that of her opponent. Let's hope this advertising helps her in her bid for re-election.
