Harold Pachios is doing local house race recounts.
Isn't Mr. Pachios from the same law firm that helped with the Gore recount in Florida in 2000?
PolitickerME's Jessica Alaimo has a good summary of the recount case between the two democrats from Yarmouth.
Am I missing something? Is one of the candidates a closet republican? From what I can tell we have two decent democratic candidates with no obvious right of center tendencies. Why did this escalate to the point where we have expert witnesses from Iowa trying to support an argument that says machine counts are better than hand recounts?
I'm not sure Maine is a place where you can expect to win an argument asserting machines recounts are better hand recounts.
The courts will side with Innes.

Recount fight
Closet Republican? No
Arrogant poor sport "establishment" candidate? Yes, yes, yes.
I can't believe Pachios would insert himself into something that is a decidely local fight. He's had a long and distinguished career. Perhaps he owed someone a favor.
