Well, it was fun while it lasted. Ms. Dobson has failed to qualify for the 2008 ballot for U.S. Senate. You will recall, in an earlier post, we gently chided Ms. Dobson for her campaign antics, encouraging her to actually qualify for the ballot first.
Apparently, that advice was not taken.
The final numbers are not available, but it is certain that she missed the 4000 signature requirement.
It's time to pack up the No Blood for Oil signs, roll up the wrinkled peasant skirts, put away the Impeach George Bush petitions and join the rest of us back here on planet earth.
Of course, anyone who knows Ms. Dobson, also knows that she will absolutely appeal any decision made by "the Man."
Ms. Dobson, I'm sure Mr. Hoffman could use an events coordinator. He qualified for the ballot.
One last thing: It might not be too late for Ms. Dobson to run for office. If you click here, you will see the form for write-in candidates. That form must be submitted by Thursday, June 5th.

OK Wally Edge, if that is your real name
Early reports of Laurie Dobson's demise are greatly exaggerated.
The final numbers are not available because
there is no final number.
She will not file write-in because she will
have ballot placement in November for non-party US Senator.
You can discuss this with the Secretary and the AG, but they will not likely have anything to report.
As regards the "the Allen v. Collins race"
reports of Tom Ledue's and Edward Cohen's demise are likewise greatly exaggerated.
Republicans can write in my name, and unenrolled registrants can enroll GOP for one day to write in Edward Cohen for US Senator on a GOP ballot.
It's George Bush's Fault
Gosh, I was hoping she be in the race so she could draw off several thousand moonbats/pathetic aging hippies (ok, maybe only a few hundred) from Allen.
Maybe she'll sue someone or stage a sit-in somewhere to show her "outrage"
