Alliance for Maine's future takes a side in two democratic primaries

The political action committee of the Alliance for Maine's Future (the Maine Prosperity PAC) has endorsed the candidacies of Democrats in the upcoming primary election June 10th.

Edward Kelleher in Senate District 7 (South Portland, Cape Elizabeth and part of Scarborough) over Larry Bliss and Gary Pelletier in Senate District 35 (Northern Aroostook) over Troy Jackson.

Larry Bliss and Troy Jackson are currently State Representatives.

The Alliance in making the endorsement noted, "Neither endorsement is a close call."

Of course, the Alliance is a solidly pro-business, right of center organization.  It remains to be seen if this type of endorsement will actually help or hurt Mr. Kelleher or Mr. Pelletier.  Democrat primaries in Maine are not exactly known as a moderate group.

The Alliance has, in the past, spent resources for candidates they endorse.  It is unclear if that is the plan this time.

It's fun to speculate...

but personal attacks and slanderous comments are not in the spirit of PolitickerME. My identity might be a mystery and cause people to scratch their heads, but that's no reason to get nasty with the people you suspect.

Who IS Wally Edge?

You should at least give us some hints. I'm suspecting you're no one anyone would suspect. Very suspicious, indeed.

Wally Edge is obviously

Wally Edge is obviously several different people including Roy Lenardson, Dan Billings, Steve Abbott, Sean Faircloth and one or two others.

Lots of inside dope on politics. Their compliation makes the most interesting written political commentary in Maine.

"Wally Edge" Is Dennis Bailey

Wally Edge" is Dennis Bailey, Democratic political operative who continues to con the Maine State Democratic leadership into allowing him to run, and subsequently win their campaign effort every two years. Dennis is currently assisting with the Strimling for Congress campaign.

Wally Edge is Al Diamon. Both are great reads.

I reallllllllllllly don't

think it's Dennis Bailey, unless he has a healthy dose of self-loathing.

Besides, why does it have to be a known figure from the left side of the aisle? Couldn't it be Stavros Mendros, Scott Fish, or Michael Heath?

I dont think it's Heath

Otherwise every story would be about gay marriage...and the "gay agenda"
