Ronulans win one Maine national delegate slot…so far.

Ronulans win one Maine national delegate slot…so far.

With balloting complete in the first congressional district, it appears that of the three available slots, Ron Paul supporters have picked up one delegate.   Ron Collins, a former state rep and Kerri Prescott, a current state representative were “McCain approved” candidates and won two of the seats.  The third seat went to Patrick Eisenhardt, who has been identified as a Ron Paul supporter.

The second district delegates went to Senator Lois Snowe Mello, Phil Roy, and Scott Kauffman all “McCain approved”.

Maine Republicans will be selecting 12 more delegates later in the day.

How come you make up silly

How come you make up silly nicknames for Ron Paul supporters, but not John McCain supporters?

Thank you for the

Thank you for the information Mr. Edge. And by the way, I am a concerned American citizen, not a 'Ronulan'. Please show other concerned American citizens who are fighting to bring our soldiers home and our liberties back a little more respect. Thank you.

Ron Paul delegates

Thank you for the information! You are the only one with the news, so far as I can find.

Hopefully Dr. Paul will do better in other districts.

MCCAIN vs RON PAUL?

I am a McCain supporter and I will happily give up my life and my family's lives to kill terrorists overseas, for corporate profits which make jobs for people like the writer of this article. HURRAY FOR GODLESS GREED!!!! LONG LOVE NARCISSITIC POWER AND CORRUPT CORPORATE GREED!!! I LOVE IT!!! GIVE IT TO ME NOWWWWWW!!!!!

Look, get over the nickname.

Look, get over the nickname. It is not meant to be disrespectful. I'm just trying to get updates for the folks that have no idea what is going on - and probably won't find anywhere else.

Wally Edge, The nickname is

Wally Edge,

The nickname is disrespectful. Ron Paul supporters have to sit and respectfully listen to video clips of McCain at every State Convention (for some reason he is either too afraid or too lazy to personally show up at each one), so please return the favor and stop insulting us.

05/03/08 11:46 am

Personally I prefer 'Ronulan's'

to Paultards.

I can take all sorts of insults as long as they are directed at us and not at our candidate.

More info, please!

Sincerely

I appreciate your updates and hope you continue to do so. I give you the benefit of the doubt that you did not mean to be disrespectful. Unfortunately, supporting concepts such as peace, liberty, and the Constitution gets people labeled all kinds of derogatory words. What ever happened to the word 'patriot'?

05/03/08 11:57 am

I didn't find the Ronulan

I didn't find the Ronulan nickname to be disrespectful. In fact, I take it as a compliment.

By replacing the term

By replacing the term 'Ronulans" with one of the following terms, this article would be much improved.

Patriots

Constitutionalists

Ron Paul supporters

Honorable Republicans(a recent development, with few exceptions)

Morally justified revolutionaries

just a suggestion...

Romulus and Remus

I see it as;

Romulus representing Ron Paul

and

Remus representing John "McCainiac".

Romulus takes over as King and the kingdom prospers.

Hail Ronulus

Maine Convention

I was profoundly honored and humbled to be voted in as a delegate to the Republican National convention. We may have won only one seat at the delegation, but we were able to get many more RP supporters on city, county, and state committes. We are in this thing for the long run.

Convention

Congratulations, Patrick!
...and, you're absolutely right, the motion is begun. Most climb a ladder only one step at a time. The nation did not get in trouble overnight, nor will it be set straight overnight. We have many candidates running for office who are patriots, and others who were elected to various committee positions. They will have a positive effect on the outcome of future episodes of this drama. Again, thanks for all you have done, and have a great time in St. Paul, MN.

how come

"How come you make up silly nicknames for Ron Paul supporters, but not John McCain supporters?"

Because there are no John McCain supporters :)

People just except the fact and support who they are told.

05/04/08 9:53 pm

I hope RP supporters help Maine candidates

Patrick, and ALL Ron Paul Supporters,

Like you indicated, you have many more RP supporters on city, county, and state committee. What I want to know is, what happens when Ron Paul loses at the convention, are you all done supporting? I truly hope though, that you help other Republican candidates that are running for legislative offices here in Maine. The point of these city and county committees is to help gain support for our local candidates. That to me would be "in this for the long haul." Remember, we have plenty of issues right here in Maine. So please, I hope you will support the other Republicans in the area when your candidate is done.

Chairman, Somerset County Republican Committee

done with rhinos

Matt, I'm done with Rhinos and their compromises. So in answer to your post, no---I will not support any Republican candidate just because he/she is running and there is no other choice. IMO, this is the type of compromise that has gotten us in the mess we are today. I am no longer supporting the lesser of two evils.
