I was just faxed a copy of a letter from some woman named Charlotte Iserbyt - who is apparently a delegate to the Maine Republican convention. This letter almost makes me wish I were going to the convention!
She does not like John McCain. No, that would be too kind. Let me quote her letter:
"This letter, supported by many delegates to the Republican Convention, is literally about saving the party and the nation from a maniacal neoconservative war monger, who supports a United State presence in Iraq for 100 years, and who is not really even a Republican"
Wow, and I thought the Clinton and Obama drama was good. As much as I would like to quote the entire letter, I ‘m pretty sure you can find most of this stuff off any Ron Paul forum. What makes this so incredible is that according to my sources, she mailed this to every Republican delegate (more than 1500) registered to attend the convention.
Ms. Iserbyt, adds this little gem at the end, "McCain has little support nationally...there are never huge rallies for McCain, unless people are paid to show up. In short, he is a media creation and the darling of the Trotskyite neoconservative warmongers who have hijacked our party"
That's sweet.
From what I hear, the McCain folks and local republican leaders are worried, very worried about some Nevada like flare up that essentially shut down the state convention last Saturday without electing national delegates. While it certainly too early to tell if this letter represents anything substantial. Republican insiders are taking it very seriously.
Rest assured, our ace reporter, Jessica Alaimo will be on the scene covering the whole affair from gavel to gavel!
Republicans have been taking steps to own the energy issue in Maine, hoping they can ride the energy wave to victory on Election Day. >
John McCain scares me. I am
John McCain scares me. I am a Republican, and I will NOT be voting for this loose cannon. I worry about my kid;s future too much to help elect someone who will undoubtedly march us right into WWIII.
Republicans need to unite...
but they need to unite on principal not behind a neo-con war-mongering puppet...
My 2 cents
John McCain
Is another neo-con puppet. It wasn't just Ron Paul people, as the media has dubbed it, that shut down the convention. It was upset Republicans who don't like McCain or the way the convention was being run. The rules the party keeps talking about that were changed, were proposed by a gentleman who is not a Ron Paul supporter. He doesn't care for Dr. Paul's platform, he just wanted the delegates to be selected by the convention delegates and not the party hierarchy.
I commend him, and thank him. I hope the remaining conventions do the same as we did, and don't vote for the same old game, and vote for 'REAL CHANGE'.
Good luck!
I worked in Bath and
I worked in Bath and Charlotte Iserbyt was a Bath institution. She writes often to the Times Record. Sometimes she makes great sense and other times she goes a little extreme..my impression is that she is a good conservative but also has some black helicopter, trilateral commission paranoid fantasies.
100 more years in Iraq is fine with John McCain
Watch him say just that here (with his BFF Joe Lieberman).
Info on Mrs. Iserbyt
Sounds like a long time conservative that served under the first Reagan administration. Personally she sounds solid to me...sounds like the convention will be a hoot!
I too am a Republican, but will not support McAmnesty. He should join his buddies Feingold, Lieberman, and Kennedy in his true home party and get out of ours.

The correct link.
That is a good youtube video link
Interesting video.
On Nevada
As someone who was in the room as a delegate in Reno, NV, I see that a bit of misinformation is out on what transpired. Media reports aside, the convention business was proceeding extremely smoothly - too smoothly, in fact, for the state party members who were trying to drag things out to run out the clock before we could vote on our delegates to the national convention.
Even after the party called a halt to the proceedings, the vast majority of delegates remained in the room. We began counting heads to see if we had a quorum, so the state party turned the lights off in the room.
Make no mistake, the Nevada Republican Party, under direction of the RNC, ran from the room precisely because things were proceeding too smoothly.
CT - You liked that?
Than you will find this in depth look at John McCain even more. Let me know what you think.

Ron Paul
is the only way. www.dailypaul.com-www.ronpaul2008.com Unite with us everyone, we want our country back.
Well, the even worse thing
Well, the even worse thing is that he is on 100% disability because of it, getting a pension of over $58,000 per year, and in Congress serving full time and getting paid. I am sorry. I do not even know exactly if it is physical or mental disability. Either way, I would never vote for a 100% disabled man for president. Not to mention, a Liberal, a war monger, a cheater in the campaign, and a member of the "Trilateral Commission". This is a leg of the CFR. The memberlist can be seen at
http://www.apfn.org/apfn/cfr-members.htm.
The site itself is at CFR.org. Every other candidate but Ron is a member. Their goal is global domination.
Whoa! Wait a second....
McCain is collecting 100% disability while he has been fully employed as a Senator for the past 20 years?
Where I come from that is referred to as insurance fraud.
I hope that info about McCain is not true, but I fear that it is..
Lifelong Republican... No McCain for me!!!
I'm in my 30's, am a lifelong republican and was raised in a republican family.
I cannot convince myself to rally behind McCain simply "for the good of the party." Actually, I cannot stomach the idea of even considering to do so.
I do not trust McCain.
I feel he lacks integrity and ethics in a very significant way.
Well, I suppose people might say that I am not loyal to the GOP. It's true. My loyalties lie with AMERICA!!!
Dear Wally Edge Correction
you referred to Mrs. Iserbyt as "Mr. Iserbyt"
By the way she is a long time True Conservative and a former Education Policy advisor in Reagan's 1st Administration. Just to let you know. Shes also the author of "The deliberate dumbing down of America".
Heres her website
http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/pages/author.htm
and rest assured you will not find anything about her on RonPaulForums. I only found about this through you, seems like youre the man with the connexions. Thank you Governor Edge
Yup, he's been drawing
Yup, he's been drawing disability for decades now (while "working" on several company boards AND serving as Congressman and now Senator). This is public knowledge -- just go look up his tax returns and stuff -- or Google "McCain disability"...
The media just doesn't tell you -- because for whatever reason, THEY like John McCain (so in essence they have a conflict of interest and just don't bother doing their jobs) and they don't want you to know the truth about their "buddy."
BTW, my local county GOP Chairman met and worked with McCain on numerous occasions and told me he sincerely believes the man is "mentally unstable" -- so THAT is who we're nominating???
Charlotte Iserbyt = Senior
Charlotte Iserbyt = Senior Policy adviser for the 1st Reagan Administration. A well known Conservative and strong influence amongst Republican voters and activists
so Obama would be better?
The anti-McCain zealots are just foolish. Would they prefer that Obama or Clinton get in? Do they have no ability to read the polls that show McCain doing well. He isn't my fave either but he is so much better than the other lot.
RE: so Obama would be better?
what's the difference? they're all "liberal" democrats (aka big-government socialists), the only difference between McCain and the other two is that he has an "R" next to his name. All three are elitist shills who's promises on the campaign trail are as empty as the space between the current presidents ears. Wake up people, take back your party (and your country) from these elitist shills and show America what true Republicanism is all about!
I agree
The only difference between the "annointed 3" is that McWar would keep us in Iraq for 100 years. Any of them would bankrupt our country further as they do not understand the underlying fundamentals that are destroying our economy. Paul is the only one of them that is talking truth and making sense, but the corporate media effectively silenced him as he began to gain traction.
Ronulans
You are all crazy. Take off your tinfoil hats and try to enjoy living in America.
John McCain -the letter
I would like to say that I respect Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, Sr. Policy Adviser, U.S.Dept. of Education during the Reagan Administration. She would not write anything that she did not have the facts to back up. And she even dares to sign her name unlike those who call her and Ron Paul delegates names.
I would also like to add that Ron Paul does support the troops. It is McCain who wants to keep them fighting and getting killed for 100 years.
She is a RINO if ever there
She is a RINO if ever there was one. She never comes to county committee meetings, and has never given to any candidate except for Ron Paul.
Dear Wally Edge Someone posted her phone #

Don't you think that she has the "right" to elect what meetings she wishes to attend or for that matter how to spend her money?
GEE! I think they call that "FREEDOM" of choice...
Maine Republican Convention
The Paul loonies are going to disrupt the Repubs Convention as they did in Nevada. Would be wonderful to see. Even a trivial research on this woman's views shows her and the Paul folks far out on the lunatic fringe of the Republican lunatic fringe in American politics. But the more they can do to discredit the Republicans the better. They have a good analysis of the problem, but a insane set of solutions.
To Russ Hughes Re: I worked in Bath
Why is it that anyone who dares to question the "Coincidence Theorists" of the "neokooks", you are automatically a "black helicopter, trilateral commission paranoid fantasy" believer? People tend to call names when they have no answers. Can any real Republican defend this pack of criminals in the administration (intelligently, that is)? Please come up with something new (preferably intelligent) or just shut up! I have been a Republican for thirty years and I'm tired of apologizing for my party. It has been hijacked by Republicrats and we're going to take it back. Please keep sitting on your smug butts, making cute little quips, because we're coming!
Delegate Letter

I received an envelope in the mail yesterday.
It was unsealed and the contents were missing . . .
I wondered what it was; I think you may have solved the mystery!

Love my tin foil hat! It must let me see things that sheeple can't.

So Jon Albrecht & Trisha must be the reason for the saying, ignorance is bliss. Sometimes I wish I was complacent like you. It would be easier to just sit back and bitch about everything but not do anything about it.
So just go back to watching American Idol while the grown-ups try and take back this country. Because if you cant hear the fat lady warming up, your TV is on too loud!

Amnesty McCainitez is unfit
Amnesty McCainitez is unfit to lead. The man does not even know the first thing about presidency handbook....the constitution. McCainitez is anti-American, anti-conservative and anti-Republican. Why doesn't he run in a 3rd party since he is so against conservatism? Maybe he can start a global welfarist party or neo-colonialist party. Hopefully conservatives will not split the vote by voting for McCain, it will cause Obama to win. Hopefully people go for Ron Paul or Bob Barr if Barr runs. A McCain vote is a wasted vote. Amnesty Juan McCainitez even has a Mexican advisor that says Americans should 'put Mexico first'....unreal. Just say no to McCain and his ideas for lawlessness and American bankruptcy.
Since when did following the
Since when did following the rule of law become a radical idea? If a CEO is hired and he is asked to go by the company manual (in the president's case, the constitution) why would this be considered a radical idea? The people who say Ron Paul supporters are loony are the true loonies. Why would anyone say that normalcy and the government actually following the rule of law, (which is the constitution), is a fringe idea? They must really be fringe people themselves for suggesting the federal government participate in lawlessness and I guess anarchy.
Re: so Obama would be better?
Andrew,
The Dems will win.... World ending.... Scare tactics... Do what we say or else...
WHATEVER!!
If you don't like him don't vote for him. If you want me to vote for him give me a good reason to do so. Don't be a lemming. McCain will actually bankrupt the country FASTER than a democrat.
