Republican convention drama in the works?

John McCain scares me. I am a Republican, and I will NOT be voting for this loose cannon. I worry about my kid;s future too much to help elect someone who will undoubtedly march us right into WWIII.

Is another neo-con puppet. It wasn't just Ron Paul people, as the media has dubbed it, that shut down the convention. It was upset Republicans who don't like McCain or the way the convention was being run. The rules the party keeps talking about that were changed, were proposed by a gentleman who is not a Ron Paul supporter. He doesn't care for Dr. Paul's platform, he just wanted the delegates to be selected by the convention delegates and not the party hierarchy.

I commend him, and thank him. I hope the remaining conventions do the same as we did, and don't vote for the same old game, and vote for 'REAL CHANGE'.

As someone who was in the room as a delegate in Reno, NV, I see that a bit of misinformation is out on what transpired. Media reports aside, the convention business was proceeding extremely smoothly - too smoothly, in fact, for the state party members who were trying to drag things out to run out the clock before we could vote on our delegates to the national convention.

Even after the party called a halt to the proceedings, the vast majority of delegates remained in the room. We began counting heads to see if we had a quorum, so the state party turned the lights off in the room.

Make no mistake, the Nevada Republican Party, under direction of the RNC, ran from the room precisely because things were proceeding too smoothly.

Well, the even worse thing is that he is on 100% disability because of it, getting a pension of over $58,000 per year, and in Congress serving full time and getting paid. I am sorry. I do not even know exactly if it is physical or mental disability. Either way, I would never vote for a 100% disabled man for president. I'm in my 30's, am a lifelong republican and was raised in a republican family.

I cannot convince myself to rally behind McCain simply "for the good of the party." Actually, I cannot stomach the idea of even considering to do so.

I do not trust McCain.

I feel he lacks integrity and ethics in a very significant way.

Yup, he's been drawing disability for decades now (while "working" on several company boards AND serving as Congressman and now Senator). This is public knowledge -- just go look up his tax returns and stuff -- or Google "McCain disability"...

The media just doesn't tell you -- because for whatever reason, THEY like John McCain (so in essence they have a conflict of interest and just don't bother doing their jobs) and they don't want you to know the truth about their "buddy."

BTW, my local county GOP Chairman met and worked with McCain on numerous occasions and told me he sincerely believes the man is "mentally unstable" -- so THAT is who we're nominating???

The anti-McCain zealots are just foolish. Would they prefer that Obama or Clinton get in? Do they have no ability to read the polls that show McCain doing well. He isn't my fave either but he is so much better than the other lot.

The only difference between the "annointed 3" is that McWar would keep us in Iraq for 100 years. Any of them would bankrupt our country further as they do not understand the underlying fundamentals that are destroying our economy. Paul is the only one of them that is talking truth and making sense, but the corporate media effectively silenced him as he began to gain traction.

I would like to say that I respect Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, Sr. Policy Adviser, U.S.Dept. of Education during the Reagan Administration. She would not write anything that she did not have the facts to back up. And she even dares to sign her name unlike those who call her and Ron Paul delegates names.
I would also like to add that Ron Paul does support the troops. It is McCain who wants to keep them fighting and getting killed for 100 years.

She is a RINO if ever there was one. She never comes to county committee meetings, and has never given to any candidate except for Ron Paul.

Since when did following the rule of law become a radical idea? If a CEO is hired and he is asked to go by the company manual (in the president's case, the constitution) why would this be considered a radical idea? The people who say Ron Paul supporters are loony are the true loonies. Why would anyone say that normalcy and the government actually following the rule of law, (which is the constitution), is a fringe idea? They must really be fringe people themselves for suggesting the federal government participate in lawlessness and I guess anarchy.
