Rowe2010.com and more

Let the games begin.

I’m not sure, but I think the domain name scramble for Governor has begun, with the reservation of www.rowe2010.com and www.roweforgovernor.com. These were created in November 2006, which I’m guessing is a pretty good sign that Attorney General Rowe has been thinking about this for a while.

So, that got me thinking…..who else has registered their domain name for the 2010 race for Governor. Well, www.michaudforgovernor.com was snagged on March 1st of this year. Of course, it should be noted that it is possible that there is another Michaud out there running for governor and our second district congressman is completely content living in DC. Www.millsforgovernor.com is still in Peter Mills’ possession, and not due to expire until 2010.

John Richardson, the Commissioner of DECD can still grab Richardson2010.com, although Richardsonforgovernor.com is taken, but I assume that the name belongs to Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico. Josh Tardy, the Republican leader in the House has lots of choices including Tardyforgovernor.com and Tardy2010.com. Glen Cummings, Speaker of the House has the same options as Rep. Tardy.

I’m sure there are others out there, and if any of you super sleuths can dig up any other names, send them along to politickerme@aol.com and I will happily add them to the list.

You know some schemer is

You know some schemer is going to quickly register the available web site addresses you mentioned after reading this article. He or she could them sell the site to the campaigns. It might not work (the candidates could find something else; note to schemer: add ___formaine.com). I wish I knew how. If it didn't cost much money I might do it just for fun.
