Secretary of State Verifies Oxford County Casino Signatures
By Wally EdgeSecretary of State Matt Dunlap has released a press release announcing that enough valid signatures have been submitted to allow “An Act to Allow a Casino in Oxford County” to go to the Legislature this session. The way this works--if the Legislature does not approve the casino exactly as it is written, with the Governor's signature-- then it will appear on the ballot this November.
