Scontras proposes Republican debates

In an open letter to the campaign of First Congressional District candidate Charlie Summers, fellow GOP hopeful Dean Scontras’ campaign manager Michael Pajak has proposed a series of public debates prior to the Republican primary.

“It is important to our campaign that the Republican voters in the 1st Congressional District be given every opportunity to evaluate both of the Republican Congressional candidates,” wrote Pajak.

Summers, a naval officer is currently serving a three month tour of duty in Iraq and is scheduled to return in late May. Pajak hopes to fit in “a series of no less than three public debates” leading up to the June 10th primary. Summers’ wife, Ruth, has been campaigning on his behalf.
