Rotundo, Sullivan bet on hockey game

State Sen. Peggy Rotundo, D-Lewiston, stood up on the Senate floor in defeat today.

This weekend she lost a wager with state Sen. Nancy Sullivan, D-Biddeford. The two made a friendly wager last week over the high school state championship hockey game.

Biddeford finished their season undefeated, and Rotundo wore black and orange to seal up her end of the deal, congratulating Sullivan.

After boasting that she was not nervous, and commending the team for sportsmanship, she addressed Rotundo’s outfit.

“The orange is slight,” Sullivan said. “We were looking for something a little more than just a splash.”
