Raye family to lead Giuliani campaign

State Senator Kevin Raye will lead Rudy Giuliani’s campaign in Maine. Mitt Romney’s campaign also announced its steering committee this week.

The Giuliani camp announced their Maine leadership team today. Raye’s wife, Karen Raye, is the State Chair of Women for Rudy. She is also Maine’s Republican National Committeewoman.

Other members of the leadership team are:

-Former state Senate Republican Leader Jane Amero is a co-chair

-Former state Senator Linda Curtis Brawn is a co-chair

-State Senator Peter Mills and former State House Assistant Republican Leader Dick Campbell are the Second Congressional District co-chairs

-State Rep. Bob Walker will serve as the campaign’s liaison to the Maine House of Representatives

-Kevin Raye will also be the liaison to the state Senate

“Mayor Giuliani is the leader America needs because his proven leadership rejuvenated our nation’s largest city,” Sen. Raye said in a statement. “He cut taxes, created jobs and reduced crime, and Rudy offers America the best hope for strength in confronting the challenges ahead. I am proud to be working with our Maine Leadership Team to spread his vision for our country.”

 

Mitt Romney’s campaign also announced its steering committee this week.

 

Romney’s campaign will be run by Republican National Committeeman Peter Cianchette, and includes five current or former members of the Maine Senate.
