Mendros slapped with fine
By Alex Isenstadt, Politicker.com ReporterLewiston City Councilor Stavros Mendros was in court yesterday, the Sun Journal reports.
Mendros, a Republican who formerly served in the House of Representatives, was ordered to pay $2,000 in fines after pleading guilty to charges that he did not properly tend to his responsibilities overseeing petition drives.
