Maine CCL endorses Scontras, Huckabee

The Christian Civic League of Maine has endorsed Dean Scontras for the First Congressional District and Mike Huckabee for President.

Both endorsements received a unanimous vote Saturday from the League’s board of directors.

This is the first time in decades the League has endorsed any candidate, according to a press release.

League leaders described Scontras as an “outspoken and courageous defender of common sense,” and Huckabee as having “winsome manner in the face of withering anti-religious attacks (that) has won him universal praise.”

"We are proud of the Maine Republican Party for consistently choosing life and marriage over the years," League President Dallas Henry said in the release, which was issued after a Right to Life rally.

This is a good thing. Dean

This is a good thing. Dean and Mike are both men of character and conviction both better than any pro-choice anti-family Maine Democrap.

Jason, please don't use terms like "Democrap" here. Your comment was fine up until that word. But then you just invalidated the whole thing.

Let's keep this a place of civil discourse with respectful discussion.
