Karen Raye Will Not Seek Reelection to State Republican Post

Karen Raye, who currently serves as Republican National Committee Woman from Maine has let her supporters know that she will not be seeking reelection at the convention in May. Her husband is State Senator Kevin Raye. In her email she stated,

"As someone who has been a Republican Party volunteer for 24 years, serving as your National Committeewoman has been a tremendous honor, and I am grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to serve our party in this way. However, now that my husband Kevin and I own and operate Raye's Mustard Mill, the responsibilities of running a small Maine family business make it difficult for me to devote the time and energy that I believe the post of National Committeewoman requires."

This is surprising news, and should make the Republican convention in May a bit more interesting. These national posts are coveted by party activists, and even more so in a presidential election year.

Karen has no compasion for union folks or anyone who has a decent paying job. What did she actually do other than drag Kevin down by putting unions down ? She won't be missed.
