Sarah Palin: Not a Red Sox fan

While trying to win over a crowd in Jacksonville, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin unintentionally rattled the New England electorate.

In the speech, she said she was rooting for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship series.

"You know what that tells me, it tells me that the people in this area know a little something about turning an underdog into a victor," she said. "And we're counting on you to help us do that Nov. 4th."

In this speech she revealed a polarity from running mate John McCain, who said previously that he supports the Red Sox in the series, which begins Friday.

Who cares?

McCain is cheering for the Sox. Palin is cheering for the Rays. Sounds like a balanced ticket to me. :-)

Seriously, though, what does her baseball allegiance have to do with her ability to execute the office of the Vice President? I know Boston (and New England, for that matter) are hardcore about their sports, but hopefully the number of people who vote against her because she is cheering for a team other than the Sox are few.

Regardless...the World Series is closer to the election than the ALCS is. When the Sox win, that's the time to ask her who she's cheering for. :-)

This proves that Sarah Palin

This proves that Sarah Palin does not have the judgment to become commander in chief. Not only does she cheer for a terrible expansion team, not an American institution, but she decides not to root for a team with worldwide appeal.

I'm not surprised, however. The Republicans dont appear to like worldwide appeal. What's the difference between Sarah Palin and George Bush?

Lipstick.
