Congressional candidate Charlie Summers: Campaign photoCharlie Summers, Republican candidate for the First Congressional District, has received the endorsement of the Maine Restaurant Association and the Wholesaler-Distributer Political Action Committee.
In a release, his campaign provided the following two quotes:
Richard Grotton, President and CEO of the Maine Restaurant Association: "Charlie's extensive record supporting the small business community throughout Maine and New England make the him the candidate we're excited to throw our support behind. His ideas for improving the state and national economy through regulatory reform, tax relief, and responsible government spending are just a few of the solutions that would have significant impact on our members."
WDPAC Political Director Jim Anderson: "Having been a small business owner himself, and in his role with the Small Business Administration, Charlie has a keen understanding of the challenges our members face. Congress needs more leaders like Charlie - a strong voice for responsible reforms that will boost our economy, create new jobs, and put more money back into the pockets of citizens and business owners."
