Summers’ opponent in the primary, Dean Scontras, announced a newly-formed Women’s Coalition for his campaign, headed by state Rep. Kathy Chase, R-Wells. The coalition consists of 100 women from around the district, the names can be found on his press release.
"I am honored to chair the Scontras for Congress Women's Coalition," Chase said in a release. "Dean is a candidate with strong principles and the ability to articulate his stand on the important issues facing our nation. Be it the economy, border security and illegal immigration, high taxes or over regulation of business, Dean Scontras takes a position and supports it with facts. His strength and energy is the kind of representation Maine deserves in Washington."
