There’s been a change in Maine’s super delegate lineup.
Jennifer DeChant of Bath has replaced Rita Moran of Winthrop as one of the eight sent to the national convention, the Democratic state committee voted Sunday. She has not yet announced who she is supporting.
She also replaced Moran as DNC chairwoman.
DeChant was originally denied a super delegate spot in January because she missed three committee meetings, two of which she said were for difficult pregnancy. However, members of the state committee requested another vote stating that they did not know the January vote had taken place.

My goodness, get your facts
My goodness, get your facts straight. This is just a mess.
and just what facts are in
and just what facts are in dspute?
For starters, these facts
"State convention" should read "National Convention". Rita Moran, as a county chair, will certainly be at the state convention. She has a history of actually attending things, and is a better sport than some. (Chellie Pingree once lost a position with the state committee under the same three-strikes rule, and took it like a grownup.)
Also, there is no "DNC Chairwoman" involved in the story.
First off - it DOES say
First off - it DOES say "National Convention". Secondly, the entire story concerns Ms. DeChant's position as DNC Committeewoman. She was unfairly ousted from her position due to doctor mandated bed rest for a difficult pregnancy; there was not ample notification given to her, nor Democratic State Committee members, concerning her re-appointment. Ms. DeChant has worked unbelievably hard for the people of Maine during her career and has been rightly restored to a position she has earned, fair and square.
First off, it says that now
First off, it says that now that it has been corrected. When I pointed out the error, it was otherwise. Check with the writer.
Secondly, if you think re-writing the rules to please a sore loser is fair and square, more power to you. What has happened now is that a disabled, elderly, low-income member of a religious minority has been stripped of a seat that had been won in a fair election, because someone who could keep up her other obligations somehow couldn't manage that very easy one, and then claimed pregnancy as a disability and a protected class. DeChant knew very well that there would be an election; what she didn't know was that someone else might be nominated. This isn't anybody's first rodeo; nomitations from the floor are always in order under the rules.
Whoops
Whoops, I meant to type "nominations."
Here's a fact no one mentions
Based on the people in our delegation, odds are that Rita Moran would have been an Obama delegate.
Jennifer DeChant had Hillary stickers on her car.
The majority of DeChant supporters? You guessed it- Hillary supporters.
Perhaps it's time people get a reality check. The Democratic State Committee didn't just remove someone, they used a pregnancy as an excuse to tug at the heartstrings of their fellow Democrats to gain a superdelegate.
I, for one, look forward to a time when we purge these menaces from our leadership.

Oh, sure...
Yup, credible stuff from Maine's most noted hate-mongers. Stalkers and trespassers ought to be everyone's source of good info, right?
My understanding is that
My understanding is that there were some questions about the legality of the original vote. Proper notice may or may not have been given. The Committee voted that there was a possibility of that so another vote was held.
No one gained a superdelegate. Both Moran and Dechant were uncommitted.
And I don't think you really know that most of DeChant's supporters are backing Clinton.
I for one, am supporting
I for one, am supporting Obama AND Ms. DeChant.
Didn't Ms. DeChant vote in a
Didn't Ms. DeChant vote in a Maine Caucus? Would this not give an indication of her tendencies?
