When Chardonnday freezes over
Tom Allen will oust Susan Collins when Chardonnay freezes over.
Or when Howard Dean develops a sense of humor.
Now, THAT would be a scream.
LOL - not only will Tom
LOL - not only will Tom Allen lose, but so will Lord Obama.
Allen vs Collins
Allen could win by 5%.
Collins has skillfully created a false image which many politicians do (John McCain for example). Voters who generally don't follow politics think she's a moderate. When they understand that her and the Republican's Energy plan really only increases Oil Company profits and will do nothing to reduce oil and gas prices. When they understand that she held a press conference in Maine to promote her support for repealing the Enron loophole which would cut gas prices in half and immediately went to Washington and voted "No" on the Farm Bill which would have repealed the Enron loophole voters begin to wonder. When they find out that her posted Energy Plan has no provision for reducing prices only increasing production, they know she is not protecting Mainers. She's protecting the Oil Companies. Then they re-consider their support.
I love the latest Pro-Allen Nonsense
"Tom Allen can win but Mainer's are too stupid to see Susan Collins for who she really is."
That's right, everyone in Maine is wrong and you elitists are right.
Thanks for clearing that up for me.
No on farm bill
Yes, she voted "no" on the farm bill -- a vote that every newspaper in the state praised on its editorial pages.
And the Maine Oil Dealer's Association, which is fighting to close the Enron loophole -- which Collins also vote to do -- is supporting Susan Collins.
Howard Dean is wrong. Chuck Schumer is wrong, Tom Allen will lose.
And not because Mainers are too dumb to know better, just the opposite. They know a good legislator and a hard worker when they see one. (They also know an elitist when they see one.)
"At a press conference in
"At a press conference in May, just minutes before a vote on a massive farm bill, Collins praised a provision in the measure to close the so-called Enron loophole. She then headed straight to the Senate floor and voted against the bill."
