Candidates for national office

Monday was the deadline for Democrats and Republicans to file to run to office. No real surprises here, but the following candidates have qualified to run for national office. An analysis of state candidates will be available later in the day.
U.S. Senate
Democrats: Tom Allen of Portland and Tom Ledue of Sanford
Republicans: Susan Collins of Bangor.
First Congressional District
Democrats: Michael Brennan of Portland, Adam Cote of Portland, Mark Lawrence of South Berwick, Stephen Meister of Winthrop, Chellie Pingree of North Haven and Ethan Strimling of Portland
Republicans: Dean Scontras of Eliot and Charles Summers of Scarborough
Second Congressional District
Republican: John Frary of Farmington
Democrat: Mike Michaud of East Millinocket
