Illinois Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky campaigned for District 1 Democratic candidate Chellie Pingree in Portland Thursday, focusing her remarks on health care.
“Clearly the health-care system is broken,” Schakowsky said, “and if we’re going to fix it, we’re going to need people in Congress who are willing to stand up to the drug companies and who are willing to stand up to the insurance companies. Chellie Pingree is exactly that kind of person.”
