'Anyone who does not fight war crime is condoning war crime'

Independent Senatorial candidate Laurie Dobson delivered a writ of indictment to Kennebunkport officials for President Bush and Vice President Cheney today.
If they come to her town, she wants town authorities to arrest them on spot for being war criminals.
From there, it will be up to the town to decide the punishment.
She said she is using her roles, both as a private citizen and as someone running for a leadership position, to get towns involved, “So they can repudiate lawlessness and fight to regain the means which will provide their best defense so that our townspeople can rest assured that they exist in a civilized society which will not fall into the hands of barbaric individuals who mistreat people.”
Town Manager Larry Mead explained to Dobson, when the document was received, that the town would have no authority to enforce such a measure. Dobson said she had legal proof that they could.
This was the first time Mead saw this document. There’s no way it will get through, he said.
“The municipality doesn’t have this authority,” Mead said after the conference. “This was an attempt by Laurie Dobson to use this as a forum to promote her candidacy and her agenda.”
Dobson hopes to get the matter on the warrant for the June town meeting, but she’s already pushing the deadline, Mead said. She can move this issue forward either by convincing the selectmen to approve it, or gather signatures on a petition which would then go before the select board.
About 15 people – both press and observers – came to Dobson’s announcement. Dobson’s campaign manager said she had a short time frame in between the idea and the event, hence why she went to the media before town officials. She will bring it before the town selectmen at an upcoming meeting, she said.
“If government acts in a criminal manner against the will of the people, the people have rights as individuals and groups to attempt to compel the government to act lawfully,” Dobson said.
Kurt Daims of Brattleboro, Vt. pitched the idea to Dobson. He is pushing a similar measure in Brattleboro, which goes before voters at town meeting Mar. 4.
Unlike Kennebunkport, Brattleboro has no direct connection to the Bush family – in fact, Vermont is the one state President Bush hasn’t visited.
Daims said he pushed the concept hoping other towns would follow.
Dobson's indictment reads, in part: “Shall the Kennebunkport Board of Selectmen instruct the Town Attorney to draft indictments against President Bush and Vice President Cheney for crimes against our Constitution, and publish said indictments for consideration by other authorities, and shall it be the law of the Town of Kennebunkport that the Kennebunkport Police, pursuant to the above-mentioned indictments, arrest and detain George W. Bush and Richard Cheney in Kennebunkport if they are not duly impeached, and prosecute or extradite them to other authorities that may reasonably contend to prosecute them.”

Those same arguements can be made about the Bush administration. FBI pamphlets are out instructing...anyone who believes in the constitution be labeled "terrorists," FEMA camps being erected across the nation to enslave citizens, National ID cards that are a prelude for tracking citizens, unchecked power of the President to declare martial law, a recent agreement by Bush to use Canadian troops against American citizens, Posse Commitatus being relaxed to allow military weapons be used against US citizens (Black Water), a recent agreement by Bush to form the NAFTA superhighway that will be the prelude to a North American Union, wiretapping citizens, the soon to be montioring of the internet, denial of Habeas Corpus and the right to trial. All these to name a few. My friend Ms. Dobson is using her powers appropriately to right some fundamental wrongs that have occurred over the past 7 years under the Bush administration. More should follow her.
I fear mostly a government that thinks they are above the people. The Bush administration now with an approval rating of 19% is an indicator that the people have had enough. There are piles of evidence supporting high crimes and treason. Unless our legislature stops playing politics and starts enforcing the rule of law, then we have just become a nation ran by a dictator.

Since when did citizens exercising their constitutional right as citizens become a sign of "fascism?" Somebody needs to go look that word up in the dictionary, apparently.
We are fully empowered by the founder's blessed document to take matters into our own hands, in precisely the manner in which Ms. Dobson is doing, when our government fails us. It's called "democracy," not "fascism." No wonder the wingnuts fear it so.
Bush Enabling Criminals
Bush with his cult of enablers such as "portlandobserver" ("portlandobscenity" would be a lot more accurate)have wantonly murdered and then obscenely ignored tens of thousands of innocent civilians in their brutish and unjustified assault on Iraq.
Their ignorance is not an excuse because if you take the simple trouble to really OBSERVE, you will see on a daily basis the news reports of the wanton slaughter of these innnocent victims that we have mowed down in a modern day holocaust.
Bush and the amoral murder cult that spawned and buttressed him are a blight on the United States and a disgrace to the many people in our storied history who have sacrificed family and suffered greatly to get us to this point where this man and his vicious right-wing movement have thrown our history and our decency into a bucket of blood.
Viciousness and stupidity cannot excuse Bush and the lowlifes who identify with him.

I am for smaller government, less taxation (flat tax actually - like the UK), etc. I served in the military and believe in still wholeheartedly.
Question: Why is the USA the largest signle contributor to the United Nations still ?
The UN is not doing its job, hence we would not be in Iraq, Afghanastan, Kosov, etc.
The UN is represented by an overwhelming majority of Muslim nations.
If any of you folks that on cookies and milk still don't grasp this, I will lay it out for you plain and simple.
Radical Musilms want the following:
1. Convert non-believers
2. Make those they cannot convert "serfs"/ slaves.
3. Kill the rest.
There is a "holy war" out in the war aimed at Christians and the USA. Travel abit and you will see first hand the enemy is real.
